After release, the same engineers keep the system. The people who wrote the code are the people who fix it. That is slower to staff and much faster when something actually breaks.

A site that cannot talk to the rest of the business is a brochure with a CMS.
Payments, hosting, DNS, email and the application layer have to behave as one system. We would rather spend a week making that boring and reliable than spend a year explaining why the checkout, the CRM and the website disagree.

HSJ Host is the front door: websites, hosting, domains, VPS and support. HSJ Dev is the internal engineering team on those projects: the people who write the software, wire the integrations and own the technical risk.
You still work with one organisation. We just do not pretend hosting and engineering are the same job.
